Dear Prospective Patient
Seeking therapy can be a courageous step towards personal growth and overall well-being. Whether you are struggling with emotional challenges, seeking guidance during a difficult transition, or simply looking to improve your mental health, our therapy services are here to support you every step of the way.
I take pride in providing compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized care. I offer short-term therapy (typically 12 weeks) helping you navigate through your challenges, develop coping strategies, and cultivate a deep sense of self-awareness and resilience.
Here are some reasons to choose my therapy services:
1. Expert Professional: I am a retired USAF prescribing psychologist who is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology. I am also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, an honor bestowed upon APA members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology. Fellow status requires that a person's work has had a national impact on the field of psychology beyond a local, state or regional level. Finally, as a prescribing psychologist, I am able to prescribe medications when deemed appropriate.
2. Personalized Approach: I understand that each person's journey is unique and will work closely with you to create a personalized treatment plan, tailored to address your specific concerns and to support your path towards healing and growth.
3. Confidential and Safe Environment: I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings. My aim is to create an atmosphere of trust and safety, allowing you to explore and process your emotions without fear of being judged or misunderstood.
4. Diverse Therapy Options: I am skilled with a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including acceptance an commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and more. Together we can collaboratively decide on the most suitable approach for your needs.
5. Teletherapy Options: I understand that life can be busy and challenging at times. That's why I offer convenient teletherapy sessions, which allow you to receive the support you need from the comfort of your home or office. This flexibility means you can access therapy without any additional stress or inconvenience.
Taking the first step towards therapy can seem overwhelming, but rest assured, I am here to guide you through the process. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an initial phone consultation, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 575-652-3654 or dr.elainefoster@psyconops.
My schedule is generally full so it is possible that you may go on my waiting list, but I will make my best effort to ensure you can get the help you want, even if it requires making a referral.
Warm regards,
Elaine Foster, PhD, ABPP
